Beakman and Ms. Frizzle was constant company for almost a year. But when school was out he wanted to change things up. We had been reading some old smurfs books and watching the old and new cartoons so he picked the Smurfs.

When I started looking for some images to add for him I noticed they had an anniversary logo and through total happenstance he happened to pick the Smurfs exhibit during their 65th anniversary. On October 23, 1958 Les Schtroumpfs appeared in an issue of Johan et Pirlouit comics marking their grand debut in the world. At least in Europe. The 1981 animated series would make them a worldwide name, which in English is Smurfs.

The day we installed was actually his last day at school and he had his face painted as part of Superkids Day.

This time we learned that not everything we think about doing is doable and the sheets weren’t going to be the total bottom cover, but it was still a good idea.

This time we had enough stuff for both cases to be the same thing.

Again, it takes a lot of work to get an exhibit put together.
